Initiation
Africa is, to me, a silent master of truth.Its lands hold the meaning of my existence and the memory of my own authority — from the very beginning.On its soil, an ancient and profound wound was awakened.
In Europe, I lived through its painful passage for many years — deep, transformative — pulling me out of self-forgetfulness by force and bringing me into a radical presence with reality.Faced with the choice between life and death, I chose life.I reclaimed my power to decide, making myself the promise to cultivate awareness, clarity, and expansion in service of my own evolution — no matter the circumstances.Since then, I have walked with an uncompromising demand for truth and a sharp awareness of the mechanisms of a world that has forgotten itself.This attention to reality has become a refined practice — rooted in the energy of transformation that I naturally carry, along with a powerful intuition that has deepened over time.I am a dense presence, a reminder of our unity, our sovereignty, and the necessity of our creations — to build what endures beyond the dislocation of the world as we know it.
Between Worlds
With over 15 years of experience working within West African and Brazilian diasporas in Europe, my territory naturally lies in-between worlds.Born in Peru and raised in Switzerland, I learned to read, decode, and feel the complexity of shifting identities, multiple visions, and hybrid contexts.In Europe, through my cultural productions and artistic workshops, I chose the truth of singularity over the comfort of expected images and well-crafted narratives.Through in-depth work on Söbê Camara — Ballet Mounafangni in Guinea — both on site and remotely over more than a year — I once again found myself standing in the in-between.Aligned with my own authority, I observed, questioned other rules, and kept engaging in dialogue — not to impose my vision, but to understand Söbê’s.I navigated complex relational dynamics, deciphered invisible balances between constraint, creativity, and dignity,and gradually, together with Söbê, laid solid foundations — neither erasing myself nor imposing — but honoring the singularity.The Ballet thus found a unified coherence at the heart of a landscape naturally split between continents.Through Lanlanteya Studio, my work bridges intuition and structure, catalysis and groundwork, the invisible and the tangible — to build visions strong enough to exist fully in reality, no matter where they belong.
